Franco Milani President

The organisation Pro Grigioni Italiano (Pgi) was founded in 1918 in Chur as an association. Its purpose is to promote the Italian language in the canton of Graubünden and in Switzerland, to strengthen the cultural identity of Italian-speaking Graubünden and to represent the interests of the Italian-speaking minority.

The Pgi has a federal structure, headed by the board of directors and the secretariat of the headquarters in Chur. Ten sections belong to the association, four of them outside the canton of Graubünden. The Bregaglia, Chur, Engadin, Moesano and Valposchiavo sections each run a regional centre with a cultural officer.

The association's activities are managed by qualified staff. In addition, numerous volunteers are involved at the strategic level (board, regional boards and commissions), but also in the operational area.

Pro Grigioni Italiano is a member of FUEN since 2009.
