The All-Ukrainian National Cultural Association of the Moldovians was founded in 1998 by district, town and regional organisations, representing the ethnic Moldovians in Ukraine.
The main goals of the Association are:
- to preserve ethnical and national identity, language, history, culture and traditions of the Moldovians;
- to protect their social, economic and other interests within the frames of Ukrainian legislation;
- to participate in the development of new normative documents;
- to present a positive image of our historic motherland –the Republic of Moldova to other peoples;
- to consolidate the mutual understanding, tolerance and friendship among the representatives of other nations' activities.
Activities and achievements:
- All-Ukrainian Festival of Moldovian culture;
- Annual regional and local festivals of spring and winter ceremonies «Mertsishor» and«Florile dalbe»;
- Annual festival of the Moldovian Laguage: 200-300 people participate in the festivals, and thousands of spectators attend the events:
- Practical scientific conference «The collaboration of Ukrainian and Moldovian cultures: history and contemporaneity» is annually organized. The materials of the conference are published afterwards;
- The curricula for secondary school pupils of 1-4 and 5-11 grades in the Moldovian language and literature have been developed and introduced uder the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Science
- Corresponding school textbooks have been published;
- A series of books in the Moldovian language have been published: “ The Moldovans of Ukraine”,
“ The Moldovian soul-the Moldovian Land”, “ Moldova: the real history”, the poem for children "Andriesh" by Moldavian poet Em. Bukov in the Moldovian and Ukrainian languages.
The All-Ukrainian National Cultural Association of the Moldovians is a member of FUEN since 2015.
