The organisation NGO “Duslyk” was officially established on 22 April 2021 with the aim of representing and protecting the interests of the Bashkirs and other indigenous Turkic peoples living in Ukraine. It is a public organisation with 200 members and it is seated in Kyiv. “Duslyk” means “friendship” in Bashkir.

The goals of the organisation are: the formation of a positive image of the organisation and its members in the sociopolitical circles of Ukraine; cooperation with government agencies and political associations of Ukraine to achieve the statutory (set by the organisation) goals and objectives, as well as maintaining a positive image of Ukraine both within the country and abroad; establishment of socio-political, interregional, interconfessional and international relations with various organisations; familiarization of the peoples of Ukraine with the history and culture of the Bashkir and other Turkic peoples; search and establishment of historical ties between the peoples of Bashkortostan and the Turkic peoples with Ukrainians.

The main activities of the organisation focus on the participation, organisation, holding and support of various public, cultural, educational, sports and charity events, conferences, meetings and events in accordance with the approved plans of the organisation, within the framework of the legislation of Ukraine and the Charter and regulations of the organisation.

NGO Duslyk is a member of FUEN since 2024.
