The Roma Adult Education Centre Burgenland, based in Oberwart, Austria, was founded in 1999 and is organised in the Association of Austrian Adult Education Centres. The Roma Adult Education Centre Burgenland is mainly active in the field of adult education.
With the organisation and implementation of intercultural events aimed at both Roma and non-Roma, the Roma Adult Education Centre Burgenland has set itself the goal of reducing prejudice and combating racism and stereotyping.
In addition to cultural events such as concerts, readings, conferences and exhibitions, study trips to other European countries and Romany language courses at various levels are offered. In order to promote exchange between Roma and non-Roma on the international stage, the Roma VHS is involved in several ERASMUS+ projects focussing on inclusion, diversity and anti-discrimination. The organisation's own magazine ‘RomaCajtung’ is published every six months.
The Roma Adult Education Centre Burgenland is a member of FUEN since 2024.
