Brochure of the FUEN Education Working Group Published

The FUEN Education Working Group has published a brochure that presents its development, activities and future plans in a concise format.

The idea to establish the Education Working Group emerged in 2017 during the FUEN Congress in Cluj-Napoca/Klausenburg (Romania) – with the aim of networking, strengthening and raising the visibility of educational work carried out by Europe’s autochthonous national minorities. The first official meeting took place in 2018 in Flensburg (Germany).

Since then, the Education Working Group has evolved into an active platform for exchange and cooperation in the field of minority education. The newly published brochure provides an overview of the annual meetings held since then, the group’s activities within the network and projects such as the film series "Einblicke" (“Insights”), the card game "Minority Memo" and the digital education platform edu.

At the heart of the brochure are the Working Group’s long-term goals: pooling the educational expertise of minority communities, developing joint strategies to strengthen minority education, fostering ongoing exchange among key actors and building a stable network between minority groups, educational institutions, public authorities and competence centers.

The brochure offers insight into these activities and objectives. It is aimed at FUEN member organisations, education experts, political decision-makers and all those interested in minority education in Europe.

The brochure is currently available in German and can be downloaded HERE as a PDF.

This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior based on a resolution of the German Bundestag.
