
Annual meeting of the Turkic Working Group inside FUEN
17.11.2016From 14-17 November the annual meeting of the Turkic Working Group inside FUEN, chaired by FUEN Vice President Halit Habip Oglu, is taking place in Berlin for the first time.
Representatives of ten organisations from seven countries attended the meeting.
FUEN President Lorant Vincze and AGDM Coordinator Eva Penzes welcomed the representatives of the organisations. Lorant Vincze stressed how important the Working Groups inside FUEN are and focused on the situation of the specific organisations. The situation of the Crimean Tatars and the fears of the minorities living in Crimea were discussed, but also the developments in the field of language promotion. A particular important issue was the imminent assimilation and the future perspective for the Turkic minorities in Europe and in Central Asia.
