SAVE THE DATE: Forum of European Minority Regions 2025
10.03.2025The Forum of European Minority Regions 2025 is just around the corner! From 26–28 June 2025 we invite you to Novi Sad/Újvidék (Serbia) to discuss this year’s topic “The Added Value of Minorities in Cross-Border Regions”.
In the historic and culturally diverse region of Vojvodina, we will explore the economic potential of minorities in cross-border regions. One of our key objectives is to demonstrate to the majority population in Serbia and beyond that national minorities, their cultures, and languages provide significant economic benefits – not only to the regions they inhabit but to entire countries.
In addition to engaging lectures and panel discussions, this year’s Forum of European Minority Regions will once again offer the opportunity to exchange views with high-ranking representatives from politics, economy, and academia. A particular highlight will be the presentation of Vojvodina as a model of cultural autonomy, complemented by best-practice examples from other European regions. The role of minorities in the EU accession process will also be a key topic of discussion.
Beyond the content-driven discussions, the Forum will – as always – provide many opportunities for networking with participants from across Europe. There will also be time to explore Novi Sad, European Capital of Culture 2022, and experience its rich cultural diversity.
The official invitation with further details will follow soon – be sure to mark your calendar now! We look forward to welcoming you in June in Novi Sad!
