Natalie Pawlik, Member of the German Bundestag and Federal Commissioner for Ethnic German Resettlers and National Minorities, will welcome the participants of the conference, who have travelled from 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The opening of the conference will be followed by a political discussion with the Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Homeland, Ms Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter.
Expert discussions and a cultural programme in the Collegium Hungaricum are part of the varied programme, which will end with an expert discussion with the Group of Expellees, Resettlers and German Minorities of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag.
Tuesday will begin with expert discussions on the Federal Foreign Office's foreign cultural and educational policy with the Commissioner for AKBP at the Federal Foreign Office, Ms Anna Bartels. The agenda for the rest of the day includes a network meeting with partner organisations and a political networking event in cooperation with the parliamentary group "Minorities".
