OSCE Chairmanship Conference on Tolerance and Diversity on 19-20 October 2016 in Berlin
18.10.2016Within the framework of Germany’s OSCE Chairmanship 2016, the Federal Foreign Office will host a Conference on Tolerance and Diversity on 20 October 2016 in Berlin, where FUEN Vicepresident Olga Martens will participate. The conference will consist of several panel discussions dealing with topics like human rights and fundamental freedoms, educational work, steps to combat online hate speech and discrimination and the role of civil society in promoting tolerance and diversity.
One day before the high-ranking conference, there will be a pre-conference for civil society on 19 October hosting a discussion on “State and Non-State Actors and Their Role in Promoting Tolerance and Diversity”. The pre-conference will also have several working groups on education, media and discrimination, that will elaborate civil society recommendations to the OSCE Chairmanship Conference on Tolerance and Diversity.
