FUEN Delegation met State Secretary Stephan Mayer
31.05.2018On Tuesday, 29 May of 2018 a FUEN delegation met State Secretary Stephan Mayer, responsible for minority issues in the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the German Federal Government. During the discussions, FUEN presented its main projects with an accent on the Minority SafePack Initiative, while the working groups and future projects of the organisation, the House of Minorities and the importance of the national minorities living in Germany were also discussed.
Bernard Gaida, Speaker of the German Working Group within FUEN (AGDM) presented the work of German minorities from abroad. Mr. Mayer was already familiar with AGDM's activity, as he met the representatives of the working group several times beforehand.
The State Secretary pointed out that he was glad to be appointed in this position, since the strengthening of national minorities is important to him, and he promised to always be open for minority issues.
