TAG Spokesman Halit Habip Oğlu paid a visit to Ankara
04.06.2024Spokesman of the Working Group of Turkic Minorities/Communities in FUEN (TAG) Halit Habip Oğlu paid a working visit to Ankara on 29-31 May 2024.
Habip Oğlu, who visited Ankara again in May after his working visit to Ankara in December 2023, spoke about the institutions and organisations that work for kin Turkic communities in Ankara within the framework of the preparations for the 10th Annual Meeting of FUEN TAG, which is planned to be held in Ankara in the autumn and met with the heads of the relevant organisations in this regard.
During his visit to Ankara, Halit Habip Oğlu had a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Yasin Ekrem Serim. Habip Oğlu conveyed information about the work that TAG plans to do in Ankara for the needs of Turkic minorities and communities within TAG at different levels and the purpose and scope of the planned annual meeting.
Furthermore, Habip Oğlu also held meetings with President of the Turks Abroad and Related Communities of the Republic of Türkiye (YTB) (which is linked to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye) Abdullah Eren, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Serkan Kayalar, President of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş and Deputy Secretary General of International Organization of Turkic Culture TÜRKSOY Sayit Yusuf at their office.
In these meetings, Habip Oğlu introduced the Turkic minorities and communities from the Balkans to the Caucasus who come together under the roof of TAG, discussed the areas of cooperation with institutions and organisations in Ankara within the framework of the preparation process of the annual meeting of TAG in accordance with the needs of TAG member organisations in the cultural, social, and economic fields.
