
Forty-five years of civil rights work for the German Sinti and Roma
28.09.2016A festive event took place yesterday on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Romani Rose, the chairman of the Central Council of German Sinti and Roma. The title of the event was “Forty-five years of civil rights work for the German Sinti and Roma”, which took place in the Berlin office of the Documentation and Cultural Centre of the German Sinti and Roma. The event was also attended by Angela Merkel, the German Federal Chancellor.

It was an impressive event yesterday, which adequately honoured your work for the Sinti and Roma in Germany and Europe
