SAVE THE DATE: Third Thematic Meeting of the FUEN “Women of Minorities” Project
17.09.2025The third thematic meeting of the FUEN project “Women of Minorities” will take place from 1 to 3 December 2025 in Budapest, Hungary, under the title “Equal Political Participation and Representation”.
After the successful gatherings in Vienna (2023) and Athens (2024), which focused on equality standards and approaches to addressing intersectional challenges, the Budapest meeting will turn to the visibility and effectiveness of minorities in political decision-making at local, national and European levels. A special emphasis will be placed on the role of women of minorities in politics and public life.
Hosted by the National Self-Government of Germans in Hungary (Landesselbstverwaltung der Ungarndeutschen, LdU), the representative organisation of the German minority in Hungary, the two-day programme will combine thematic presentations, reports, discussions and a final workshop aimed at outlining the next steps for strengthening minority voices.
The official invitation and registration details will follow soon.
