72nd Croatian Ball in Vienna: FUEN was there
23.01.2019On 18.01.2019 the 72nd Viennese Croatian Ball/Hrvatski bal took place under the motto "Hrvati meet Schönbrunn" at the Parkhotel Schönbrunn in Vienna.
The ball, organised by our member organisation Hrvatski centar / Croatian Centre in Vienna, is the social event of the Croats in Vienna and at the same time an expression of the common ground, the Croatian culture and language in the big city. It is always a pleasure to see how active the use of language is within the Burgenland Croatian community.
Among the more than 1000 participants were numerous famous personalities, such as the Federal Minister for EU, Art, Culture and Media Gernot Blümel. FUEN President Loránt Vincze and FUEN Managing Director Eva Pénzes also accepted the invitation to celebrate the most important event of the Croatian minority in Vienna.
It is very rewarding that the most important project of the FUEN, the Minority SafePack, was also emphasized at the official opening of the ball as the most important project of 2018. As also the conversation with Minister Blümel, as well as his interest in the topic are of importance for the development of our Initiative.
We would like to thank the organizers Petar Tyran and Gabriella Novak-Karall for the invitation. It was an honour for us to be able to participate in this extraordinary and particularly valuable event.
